Biography - Eddy & Danny VAN PASSEL, twin brothers, born June 15th 1957.
- Authors, composers, music publishers, producers. Members of the Belgian right society SABAM since 1978.
- Collaborated with Sony ATV Music/ BMG Music Publishing/ EMI Music Publishing/ Warner Chappell Music/ Universal Music/ Peermusic.
- Songs published in more than 100 countries, cover versions in more than 20 different languages.
- Van Passel Brothers Music copyrights participated in various international songfestivals: the 1981 Nordring Jazz Festival in Scandinavia - winner of the 1988 Cesme music festival in Turkey – 1998, 5th place in the Eurovision Song Contest and included on “the official” CD & DVD release (October 22nd, 2005) celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest.
- In 1993 the Van Passels had an absolute NR. 1 Smash Hit in S.E. ASIA with their song “DYING INSIDE TO HOLD YOU”, originally performed by USA artist Timmy THOMAS and later covered by various famous Asian artists, such as ALAN TAM.
- September 1995: Belgian right society SABAM confirmed, after examination, that the largest part of the melody of the 1995 song “YOU ARE NOT ALONE”, that R. KELLY presented to Michael JACKSON, is identical to the 1993 Van Passel composition “IF WE CAN START ALL OVER”.
- This case is currently before the Court of Appeal in BRUSSELS.
